A presentation on the Border Reivers will be given at the 'Scottish Society of the Louisiana Hielands' monthly meeting at 1 pm on May 8 at Karpele's Manuscript Museum,  3201 Centenary Blvd,  Shreveport, La. Everyone interested feel free to come, listen, and join the Society!

Description: 

The 9th Annual Scottish Tartan Festival is coming to Minden, Louisiana for a celebration of  Scottish culture and heritage through living history exhibits, a blacksmith, Scottish cattle herding, a demonstration of the Highland games, Gaelic language seminar and bagpipe music.  The Festival is being sponsored by the Scottish Society of the Louisiana Highlands and is funded in part by the Webster Parish Convention & Tourist Commission.
